Got a young driver starting out running uas.

Will be on a recon and is about 100lbs. We need to learn the power but still need to have the numbers right. He has been running jr uas on a kt100.

Question is, in your opinion
What would the best motor package be and be competitive without throwing the kart outa wack??????

SUDAM. By any measure an outstanding platform that has power and is easy to scale to excellent handling.

Agreed...If he is that light then don't even consider another option. Otherwise you will need to buy stock in a lead factory!

Have a comet that we are trying right now with lead strapped on.

Ill research the sudam right now. Thanks

Any other suggestions?

125 Shifter would be my choice....and will be my choice if I get back in. I'm sitting at 160#. There's also a 125cc a/c EasyKart available on that auction site...not the worst option. It's basically a Reedjet with elec. start. Do some porting, convert to methanol = reliable power.

116cc tt75 you only have to weigh 316Lbs. With a 131 Sudam its 331 lbs. (57 HP) I'll take the Sudam all day every day.

∆∆∆∆ Agree with Hoppy but a Sudam is a big step up from a kt. Don't be like Ted put something together and run with the big dogs. Ps Ted when can we expect ya at Roeblings Roads?Thursday,Friday, Saturday,Sunday? Chuck.

You said you have a Comet, it might help to know which one. As far as engine choices 115cc reed jet or PCR would be a nice step up for a reasonable amount of money. A Sudam is definitely would be the prime choice for his size and power to weight ratio, but a little more money. As far as a YZ125 bike engine they make a good option but it's not as simple as a kart engine. Remember K.I.S.S.

I think we have 2 125's They are at Bergfelts, he just went threw them. I have to drive to Beaver Falls to pick them up plus some 131's.

How old is this 100 lb. driver?

An open 100cc reedjet might be a good starter step up from a kt100 and opens the door to run Limited Outlaw races (offered in some regions) in addition to UAS races.
