Triton to Minecon

At a bench racing session yesterday two of my Triton owner friends were wondering if they could convert their Triton's to a Minecon similar to the Recon to Minecon conversion process. Thank you for any thoughts and conversation.
 
Thank you but looking for information of whether you can convert a Triton to a Minecon, similar to the manner that you can convert a Recon to a Minecon.

Going with the fact that Recon parts can be used to build up a Minicon frame, I am curious as to why you say that.

The spindles for a Recon and Triton are the same, which I assume they will also work on the minicon. Nerf bars are all pretty universal. Tie rods for Recon and Tritan are the same. Steering shafts and posts are the same.

I also assume that the rear (and front?) bumper will not work as the frame geometry is a bit different. Floor pan also would not work for same reasons.

Looks like the bearing hangers are not the same either as the Triton has the same split cassette as the Icon did. The Recon looks like a one piece.

Thoughts on what I might be missing?
 
The frame itself is bent different.
Ok if you buy a frame some parts would fit.

Using PRC's website to price out the items jjchat noted as needed to make the conversion and adding in $100 for miscellaneous parts, I estimate approximately $1,600. Minecon parts aren't listed in PRC's website so I used Recon prices for the calculation. PRC shows a Triton to Recon conversion kit for $1,500 so the estimate appears close. It appears that any Triton owner who would like to convert to a Minecon it appears doable. You could likely sell your used Triton parts and recover a minimal part of your expense. Thank you all for the input.
 
I'm guessing it would probably be cheaper to sell a used Tritan (assuming the frame is usable shape) and buy new than to convert. If the chassis was "spent" however, might be a better deal to go the frame route.
 
you would need the following parts

Frame
Rear bumper
RH tie rod Camber Heim joint as it is longer
Spacer block
Both Nerf bars
Front floor pan
both rear cassettes
Lube rings
Rear bearings
Brake line

you may as well by a used minecon and sell the used triton. As Hawk2 said he has everything except the nerf bars
