hotelcalifornia is correct. Installing the 1/8 slugs with the hole down lowers the LR frame to the ground by 1/8" and also lowers the cross. If the front end is then adjusted to raise the cross again the LF of the frame is lowered as well (or the RF is raised). The net effect is that the entire kart has more rake. On the Icon in particular this added rake dramatically increased turning power. For this reason we don't use the slugs as cross adjusters.
