To be consistent with other indoor events, we will follow the following additional safety requirements. Weights must be bolted to the chassis or seat. The nerf bars are considered part of the chassis. For weights on the seat, you must use fender washers (large washers) under the bolt head. All weight bolts must be double nutted or safety wired. Do not attach weights to bodywork. Header bolts must be safety wired.

Safety is the overriding issue. If the Race Director or Tech Officials decide your weights are not safely attached, you will have to change them to suit the officials.

More exciting news will be coming in the next couple of weeks. Purses will increase or become guaranteed with the commitment from sponsors! Have your Kart ready for pre-tech. ALL steering and brake components MUST be safety wired or cotter pinned. Weights of 7 pounds or combination of weights 7 pounds or more MUST have (2) 5/16 or (1) 3/8 bolt, be painted white, double nutted or single nut and cotter pin. Weights less than 7 pounds must have a minimum 5/16 bolt. If weights are attached to the nerf bar, the nerf bar pins (bolts) must be cotter pinned. Safety is Paramount at this event.

We will also seal engines, so have holes in the proper bolts. See your engine builder if you do not know.

Champ karts MUST have a check valve in the tank or vent line. Seat Belt bolts must be cotter pinned.

You WILL NOT received a sticker until these items are fixed to tech approval.

Thanks Tech
