hi all, about a month ago, i had an accident in my 04 dodge dakota (not my fault, lady pulled in front of me and i t-boned her. no injuries) and it was totalled. a couple days ago i picked up a nice 2001 dodge durango R/T. previous owners had installed a CNG kit on it. i know absolutely nothing about it. its got a tube tied into the air intake tube with a big silver metal thing (mixer?), and its got a couple hoses with T fittings into the heater hose. tanks in the back where the spare tire used to be and a little switch under the dash. can anyone explain how this system works or find me a link? i googled a little but didnt find much.

didn't the previous owner give you any information? I would start there.
are you running it on gasoline now ?
have you tried the cng?
From the above link it looks like fill with natural gas flip switch and go.

well i bought it from a dealer, so they dont know anything about it. i shouldve said that first.
it is running on gasoline now
have not tried the CNG, dont think there is any in it.

Another thought: if you can locate your local automotive CNG fillup depot, they will probably have considerable knowledge of the system in your Durango.
