2017 Phantom Recon?

Hi all, looking into dirt kart racing to scratch this itch I have since leaving car racing lol. I am currently looking into a 2017 Phantom Recon chassis, wanting to know anyones thoughts on this chassis? Ive heard the tire game is #1 thing in karts, is this chassis beginner friendly I guess you could say? Just anything to help a new guy I would appreciate it. I dont want nothing to old or junk but dont expect to win my first night lol. Thanks!

I've owned 4 Recons. When we got serious about racing that's the chassis we were riding. I did not find them to be tire sensitive and responded well to changes. We were successful using PRC's set up numbers. As with any kart, make sure the seat fits you and is mounted properly and that the nerf bars and bumpers are not bound up.

The Recon will serve you well If you can buy it right, once you get it if you do post a new thread asking for set up based on class and track you'll race.
