Can anyone tell me what that bolt with the nut on the cassette is for?

Just taking a swing at it here... Will the lube reach the bearing if you pull it out? Maybe to keep the bearing carrier from spinning inside the cassette?

Are both cassettes that way ?
Odd for sure .
Neither side would have come from Prowler Chassis that way. It is possible it was done to lock the ring in place as stated above. In that case I would have just replaced the rings if they were spinning.

I don't know what it's for but I can tell you it didn't come from Kimball like that.
I talk to guy i got it from. He had did that. He had put some kinda 2 part bearing on it. I put the ones that are supposed to be on it. Spins great now. Only thing is hopefully i put it back together the right way. I looked at a friends kart and the way i put the bearings in was different then his. I put the bearings in the cassette with both set screws facing in. Is that right?

I don't think it really matters . Only time i have had an issue .
The left side interfered with my brake hub . On a phenom .
