206 Compression release

I know that on the old Flat head Briggs the compression relief was ground into the cam but on the new 206 motors is it the same system or does the relief mechanically go away after a certain rpm? Being a sealed motor it difficult to look inside and see what's going on.
Thanks

Has a tiny spring that can come unhooked.

If that happens, extremely hard to get to turn over to start

They can be rehooked with a wire and borescope.

Ask me how I know. Lol.
You were able to do that without braking the seals....well played sir, well played. I have trouble re-wiring that thing when I can take the cam out.

Patience my friend, patience.
I practiced with a cam and side cover to get wire bent right. After that, took more time to get borescope so I could see than it did to hook the spring.

Maybe I am just lucky.

Based on the rest of my life, I think not.

Lol
