206 Walbro carb

A ew people at our track have said that the Walbro carb is now illegal. 2020 US Lo-206 rules says it is one of the identifying characteristics of a legal carb for the 206. What is legal now, and am I reading the rules wrong???
 
18. Carburetor & Intake Manifold (Updated 1/30/20)
The B&S stock carburetor part #555658 is the only carburetor permitted. „Walbro‟, „Briggs‟ diamond logo and/or #590890 etched in the body are additional visual indicators. No alterations allowed unless stated below. All parts will be compared to a stock known B&S part for eligibility. This includes the nozzle, emulsion tube, jets, float, float needle and all other carb parts. It will be allowed however to adjust the float height by means of bending the small tab on the float arm.

Yes, the wording in the rule book is a bit confusing, but the tech on the venturi is the real issue.
If tech is done properly, it won't matter.
"Some" early run Walbro carbs fail tech, most are just fine.
