212 Hemi cam question

Hey guys, I'm new to go karting in general and doing my first real engine build.

I bought a GoPowerSports Stage 2 kit with all the billet goodies and the .265 cam.

I got a new cylinder head from NR Racing and had it shaved .050. I checked my piston to valve and the best I could measure was .180 with the .265 cam.

What size of cam do you guys think I could go up to from here? I was thinking like a .308 or .310 with 1:1 ratio rockers.

Piston is .020 in the hole

.180 piston to valve clearance

60 lb dual spring setup

Thanks!

If your measurements are accurate either would be fine .
Is the new head non hemi ?
Valve spring clearance needs checked as well , spring bind is a problem also .

It is a hemi head too. I have .230 longer valves, I'm confident coil bind won't be an issue. I can stick my pinky in between coils, haha!

Also, this is for a road racing go kart on a 5/8 of a mile track, I think I'll probably be between 4,000-9,000 rpm. I'm not sure which cam would be best suited to something like that because I'd ideally still need some torque!
