Cut both exhaust and intake?Cut the valve pocket about .060" to eliminate coil bind. It brings the hemi installed height to about same as non hemi.

Just don't get in a hurry to put fuel in it. There are a lot of checks and balances to putting one together. I'd go the 265 with 1.2s for short track but maybe the 308 will work better on wide open momentum tracks. I just never thought an engine could wind up enough with a bored stock carb to get into the 308s power band but I guess if ya have enough track.Thanks you guys have been very helpful.
