Can a 390cc crank handle being turned down to 3/4 handle the clutch without breaking

Like .most answers; it depends. From what I've heard some output shafts are hardened on the outside only. If you machine off that metal then you are left with the softer inner metal. This can lead to output shaft failure. Otherwise I've heard other drivers have done it without problem.

A real mild build will be fine. Anything built up though and it will snap the crank. (Been there, done that.)
