The VKA Vintage Karting Assoc. is now incorporating the 4 cycle Briggs Flatheads into its program in the 2018 season. There will be 2 classes , Briggs Flathead SR. Stock and Briggs Modified. Engines allowed will be Briggs 5hp flatheads only. The Bushnell event in Florida will be the season opener on January 25-27,2018. The past 2 years Bill, Bret, and Becka Spaude have put on an awesome event for the vintage karters and each year the entries increase. The spread on the Friday night gathering is second to none. Don't miss it!
The next southern event is Barnesville, Ga. March 15-17th 2018. Don't miss this one, Bob Barthelemy and the GSKA do a great job bringing the VKA racers to the historic speedway that has hosted many IKF & WKA major events over the years. This years event will draw racers from North to south and east to west coast to enjoy the event and escape the winter chills and have some Barnesville thrills. Entry forms and information of both events can be accessed on the www.vkakarting.com site. Go to the forum section and you will see the Bushnell and Barnesville entry forms for download. Specs for all 4 cycle classes will soon be posted on the VKA site. All kart chassis need to be 1956-1987 only Come join the movement and bring back the father/son/race days you have missed! Join the VKA! membership not necessary to participate but why not come be a part of history relived!
