8 tab disc in smc 12 tab basket

Will 8 tab discs work in a smc 12 tab basket.

I run 4 tab and 8 tab disks on our vortex black 12 tab drums.

... Well that's the first time it's ever took almost three days for anyone to disagree with one of my statements !
I stand corrected . And I just looked at a 8 tab drum yesterday , thinking about this .

That's where I was , it did not seem right .

Ya your 100% correct, I meant to say 4 tab disks on my 8 & 12 tab drums. I shouldn’t answer while driving haha.

Is it worth it for him to grind every other tab off of his 8 tab discs, thus making them 4 tab? 8/2=4 since 12/3=4
And that's not using any of that "new" math. 2+2=4 still!

Unless SMC no longer supplies the 12 tab disk...…turning an 8 tab lining into a 4 tab will be your only option to use a 12 slot drum.

The 8 tab drum and disk combo is like the SBC V8...…...why mess with anything else when the volumes of production are out here to keep parts prices low.

I have over 100 8 tab drums on the shelf and 1000 plus linings.

Not a single 12 tab lining...…..and the only 12 tab drums I have left are the original prototypes in my "Clutch Museum"
