8mm Adjusters

Can you just buy the 8mm adjusters then drill and tap the plate and grind out the rockers or do you need the whole shootin' match?

I'm sure you could. Not sure why you would.
The cost vs time seems upside down.
I don't think even I would do it.

I get about $38 from Dyno cams, where do you buy parts. I wonder if I can tap out the adjusters too. Then it would be just $8.50 for two studs. Are they 8 x 1.25 ?

Why do I need 8mm studs anyway, did people have failures with 20 Lb. springs?

We ran dyno an002 springs and never had any
Issues in seven or so years of hard racing.
Had one spring failure.
That was likely due to rust.

The reason to use the 8 mm set up is that they are much stiffer than the 1/4" studs.
There is much less deflection when you use stiffer valve train parts.
That equals better valve control and actuation.
Anyone looking for the complete new assemblies:
the rocker plate
both rocker arms
Both 8 mm studs
I have lots of them that i have taken off heads that i put my roller rockers on or heads that i have converted to big valve heads.
$25.00 plus shipping

If you aren't racing stock classes, get with jimbo and get the billet spring plate he has and the roller rockers....much better than stock stuff
