99 ultramax centerforce dirt

Hello everyone. New guy from Oklahoma City area....

Iv been around the karting sense for a lil bit - I help out in the in field at ( coody creek speedway ) in muskogee ok....

About 5 years ago i made several attempts at getting in the sport.... The first one I had ended up picked up by a tornado 🌪️..... The 2nd one ended up stolen.....

In the last mount I have been in the market looking for a kart - iv had a hard time find something - twice iv had people not show - one of them( after a 3 hour long ride ).

I paid one guy part payment ( paypal ) and then start trying to more money out of me - he also took parts off the kart and sold them after a deal had been started..... ( Paypal did agree to refund my money ).......

Iv decided to make another attempt at this..... I would like to get some guidance from some of the more experienced drivers and techs.

The class I have chosen is 212 predator ( stock engine )

i found a 99 ultramax centerforce - it appears to be in good shape - it's got a wedge body - newer hubs.- it's extended 6 inches in the rear ( bumper back ) - it has an tensioner rod to help keep the engine in place. It appears he has done some advance engineering on it.

All it need is wheels and tires and a engine.....

he is asking 1500.

my budget was originally around 750 but I really like this set up....

I'm not looking for the latest and greatest. I just looking for a start kart - something to get some lap experience and other basic experience. Eventually when money is right I'd like to move into a outlaw kart.

I don't wanna purchase some that I'm not gonna be able to find parts for.

its my understanding that these karts have a pill style for camber..... Iv been looking around on our friend google and I can't seem to find where to purchase the pills?

how about other parts? Such as carrier bearings - wheel spindle bearings?

Thanks for any advice or info.

You can find something else for that price and most likely race ready. I gave around that price for a 10 race old 2019 recon roller if that helps you make a better decision. Keep looking and don’t be in a hurry!

At $1500 you'd willingly be getting ripped off big time, that chassis isn't worth $400 as advised above keep looking if your willing to go $1500 you can find something much newer and more race ready.

Good Luck !!

Like others have said, not a good deal at all. With engine and tires you're talking about over $2000 and still you'd have a out of date kart. Look for something from 2010 or newer.

Look for something with a fully adjustable front end. Camber caster ride height. Both front wheels. They're available.

Visit a kart shelf if possible, one that's into dirt racing. Hang out at the local dirt track. Talk to people. Carter's love to talk about their karts butI can't make

$1500 bucks ??? Would you be interested in some ocean front property located in the hills of E Tennessee ?
Honestly... that’s about a $400 kart max, and it would have to be in darn good shape at that ..
KEEP LOOKING

Thanks for the advice guys - guess I'm gonna pass on it... I'll keep looking. Glad I joined the forum and asked - I was just about ready to put the trigger.....
It is overwhelming clear that this kart is not worth 1500.... My friends at coody creek felt the same way y'all did.
I tried to talk the guy down and he absolutely wasn't gonna do it.
Its been frustrating - in between no shows and con games.....
I have expanded my search to texas - arkansas - kansas area and have been unable to find something for 1500 or less.... I'll keep looking. I got until March 20 - before racing season starts.

Thank you all for you advice. I'll keep y'all updated!

Look on Facebook. Marketplace and several other pages on there that sell karts. I have bought karts off here and there. Good luck.
