Actually a wheels question

With new wheels becoming hard to get I'm looking at running wheels I have which are different widths. Is there a rule of thumb that applies how different widths affect the tire mounted to it? I'm sure different tire brands aren't affected the same so let's use Burris 33 for my question. What happens when instead of running an 8 1/2 LR wheel I run a 8 1/4. Or a 9 1/2 right side of wheel instead of a 10 inch?

Narrower right side wheels with give you more sidebite.
Left rear you will probably not notice a difference on most tracks (other than the obvious mounting/sizing difference.) The sidewall angle determines much of the spring rate in the tire -- not something we get real concerned about on left rears.
