Adult black slide

My son is moving up to adults, can someone pls remind me the starting point for the clip position on the needle for the adult black slide (low altitude, humid). Also, what is the go/no go carb opening for the maximum diameter for the black slide at full open throttle (a little confused by the "unrestricted" designation). Thx.

To expand on what was said above, unlike restricted classes, there isn't a call out with the standard black slide for 6100 RPM engines.

As for the C clip, one must consider the float adjustment first, before thinking about positioning the needle jet. If you're going with a .880 float height, consider starting in the third position. One being the top, five being the bottom notch on the needle jet. Test by moving the C clip up or down one position, a stopwatch is always the best indicator. Good luck!

There's a lot more to the tuning of these carbs than just the clip position.
If you are unsure of what has been done to the carb already, set it on the middle clip (3rd notch) and tune from there.
We find the junior gold slide and adult black slide tune very similarly. Some of the longer slides prefer an overly rich setting.
If your engine has been performing well with the gold slide, then just swap out the slide, leaving the needle and clip alone (for now.)
