AKRA Effective Immediately

After further review AKRA has decided that there will be no fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carburetor for safety reasons. Fuel filter will be in line prior to fuel pump
I’m glad you guys are doing this. I witnessed a fire last year from this issue. I had a filter break this year in the same spot, but I got lucky.
Thank you!

Would a car style billet aluminum filter solve this issue . I would think a billet filter could take a LOT pressure , more that any vacuum pump could put out ?

Not having a fuel filter after the pump lessens possibly leaky or failed connections by 2. Also not allowing ANY fuel filter after the pump takes the judgment call if whether the one used is good or a piece of China garbage. The AKRA will (or should) just say any and all fuel filters after the pump are not allowed.
