Andy Ward

Any news on Andy Ward's condition?

I dont get on here much any more but was also wondering. That young man and his family and friends has been very heavy in our hearts and prayers. Thanks for bringing up the post schoonie. Certainly hope any replies are good news. Still saying many daily and nightly prayers to you Andy and your family and friends.

I'm not sure why updates can't be posted here, since this is where attention is usually called to this sort of deal.

Quick update for all of you:

Andy is settling in back home in Indiana and continuing to improve every day. Still don't have the words to convey to you all what a downright MIRACLE it is that he's home and recovering at 210mph after being sedated in the hospital with breathing and feeding tubes because of a double brain bleed just a little over a week ago.

Things like this simply do not "just happen"!

He went to his doctor today who confirmed that everything is looking good and that he is on the right path to complete recovery! He will be going to a rehabilitation facility tomorrow to be evaluated and to nail down a specific rehab plan. His family is looking for a great local neurosurgeon to evaluate him also... The neurosurgeon will be instrumental in clearing him to go back to everyday tasks like returning to school.

Answered prayer upon answered prayer!

Andy's gofundme campaign is up to nearly $4000 in just SIX days! The Ward family has been absolutely blown away and overwhelmed by the support and generosity of the karting family...

A SPECIAL thank you goes out to EVERY person who donated for an #andyistheREALironman decal at GKK this past weekend. We raised an ADDITIONAL $800 through that alone!

The complete extent of the medical bills for Andy have not yet been 100% confirmed, and some of that will depend on how much/what type of rehab he will require. However, the initial estimates have been staggering. If you have not already, please consider helping us reach our goal of $5000 in the Andy is the REAL Iron Man campaign! It might not be a big flashy number, but every penny counts on this journey.

Thank you all for continuing to lift this family up in prayer. A lot of you might never get a chance to meet them for yourselves, but you've made an irreparable, life-altering impact on them. Believe that!
