Over this past weekend "Speedy" Bill Smith, founder and owner of Speedway Motors passed away. He and his company have come up with solutions to a lot of our problems over the years.

RIP Bill.
 
One of the true pioneers in the automotive aftermarket, as well as a friend to motorsports in general. Today's business world could take a page from his playbook.
 
All around great guy and pioneer in the performance and racing industry.

Speedy Bill took the time to personally talk with my family and I any time we were in the area for a race and stopped by their shop. His collection of pedal cars (and tons of other vintage racing memorabilia) in their museum is unbelievable. His super successful mail order business model will be often copied but never duplicated.

Open wheel racing lost one of the greats. He will be missed!
