How far off the frame should the right rear rim be on an asphalt champ kart. Rage nitro

Just wondering, I see where a lot of people have their rear tread width set to 39 1/2 inches, outside to outside. If you place your RR at that measurement, 1/4" off the frame, where does that leave your LR? And what about tire width, does that have some bearing on it? Inquiring minds need to know. lol

I start with the RR 1/4 out & put the left where it needs to be for scaling purposes. It's a back & forth procedure with the LR to achieve optimum performance at a given track.

Tell me I'm wrong, it sounds like your scaling at one measurement ("where it needs to be") and racing at another?
