Axle Clutch Denied

I see in (short track) sprint rules where axle clutches are not allowed in many if not all classes. I never thought an axle clutch was such an advantage. Can someone site the genesis of this thinking? Were axle clutches woopin' everybody one year?

Always funny to hear sprint governing bodies ban in the name of cost... *laughs in $7K stock moto engine and $4.5K shifter chassis* 🙄

Pretty much a no brainer no money to be made by the so called experts. Yes they are quite a bit more $ but are bullet proof. I've been running the SMC since 92 on my enduro and my dirt karts. Later Chuck.

In the long run much more expensive to run an engine clutch as Chuck says (nobozos). Only low maintenance engine clutches are low stall clutches, but if they are set to engage at anything over 9,000 pms an engine clutch will cost you much more money in the long run.
