Axle Question

Getting ready to install new rear axle in my Nemesis that I run on a very dry slick track. Any suggestions on axle type given this chassis and track condition? Thanks guys.

The stock axle is fine, 1/4 wall steel.

you'll see 250 190 and 160 wall thickness, get the 250 wall, for most dirt racing 190 would be the thinnest id use

More traction is a factor. I know it's probably an original axle. Its also wide, I believe 35 or 36 inches. Considering going to 32 inch.

measure how wide it is hub face to hub face as you race it, then add 2 inches that is the shortest id go
