I remember someone talking about use baby powder for prep or to use with prep. Does anyone no what it does or even works. And no it didn't have to do with mounting a tire.

Baby powder helps internally a tire to try and beat tire tests, of course if they break it down and see it they obviously know what you were trying to do.

Also helps with tires leaking, I know guys who run American Racers (make Burris tires) put it on the inside of the sidewalls since the bigger tires leak where any print is.

I heard of a concoction called Louisiana Rock Salt, the rock salt part caught my attention lol

Also works well as a lubricant for grooving or siping a tire.

It can be used to disguise preps as well. Of course it won't cover up enough for a lab test, but it will fool some of the local track tech guys I suppose.
