Bad Heim

How do you know if you have a bad heim on your steering tie rod?

Mine moves very easy by hand, but it’s been like that for all of last year and thIs year. I’m just trying to go through and make sure everything is good on the kart

Heims are inexpensive replace them . Then no worries .

Does your toe change if you bump the steering wheel or a tire?
That movement is caused by slack - generally in the heims.
If you have little to no movement, then it's just fine....if the toe changes significantly, then it's time to replace some heims.

Toe does not change

Then you're good. Just lube them, and work them back and forth to get the lube down in them.
