Bad rod

I read somewhere that there was a bad batch of rods that came through. I think it was a CY, but not sure. Anybody know? Thanks.

Don't know if any are still around. Broke two dippers last spring and trashed one engine and caught the other one before it did anything nasty. Rods were bought last year this time.

I found it. It was the LY rod, earlier last year, as mentioned above. I'm sure they have cycled out by now.

What is the “it” that you found? Proof? Hearsay?

I have had 2 maybe 3... I started removing 3/8" off the end of the dipper... I do not know if this will help... but it can't hurt

I saw it on the TRJ Karting facebook page about engine builders having issues with that rod earlier last season.
