Battery on electric kart stand

Newb question. Just picked up an electric kart stand It needs a battery. What kind is the best to get?

I just got a cheap lawn mower battery from tractor supply.

If you are looking for longevity a AGM battery would be preferred. The difference is the way we use them they get fairly discharged and then recharged. Unlike a typical battery that stays near charged all the time. This type of battery is used in powered scooters and such. I use them for high wattage radios in surveying. But you will need a charger that is made for them or they will not last.

That all said I would think a cheap battery and more often replacement is still the way I would go. 12volt. Small. Light is what I would look for.

Why not large scale RC lipo battery or a Lifepo4

Thirty two dollars for a lawn and garden battery.
Maybe replace it in three years . with nothing but a charge up for maintenance.
