Bent Rims

I have an aluminum rim that is slightly bent, out of round, it is useable but there is a vibration. Is anyone aware of a procedure or service that can straighten / true rims?

there was a guy doing it . its not really worth the trouble.
Results are sketchy at best.

for $25 or so each, pitch em in the scrap pile or sell it to someone making one of those wagons for dragging the kids around hot rod shows..

Yep sadly they are like $30 new, you'd have $25 or more into labor for straightening one.... you do the math...

I fixed a bent rim for a guy once. Threw it in the trash and bought a new one. He was amazed at my skill.

You can set up 2 blocks of wood, set the flat part of the rim down between them and beat on it with a mallet, maybe you'll get lucky.

Cut them in half, attach to wall. Now you have places to hang hoses, wire, etc. That is what we did with all of our bent wheels.

The guy here was called Re-Wheel, he had a jig on a mill, when he got done they looked new, didnt charge much either 10-15$ shipped if I remember correctly.
like stated, rims are like tires, they are one of the consumables in karting
