I need to buy a new seat soon. Any recommendations? If so, why?

Depends on your kart and your body type. Not ever seat is built for every driver. If you post your body type/size and kart we might be able to give you a better idea. The Select for me was one of the better fitting seats I've been in. I really like my carbon fiber comp composite, its held up pretty well this season.

Chavous for me over select, although I would like to try a carbon fiber one.

Like chavous. Fits be better then select. In my champ I run lightning light advantage. Awesome seat. I also have. Custom mold in it made by bill wood. Perfect fit

Theres speed with a seat to be found. Two most popular are the Select and Chavous. If youre on a PRC, you know the Select would be best. Dont know which chassis you have so cant honestly say which is best.
The Onyx switched from 1 manufacturer of seat to a Select and really helped that kart, sometimes you just have to try a seat.
