As stated, wondering what suggestions / tricks you have for removing & replacing the oil seals and bearings. Any detailed info and recommended tools would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

A 1x2 wood with a hammer, then use the old seal to get it about an 1/8 " in .....not a pro.....

Pop the seal out with a screw driver then heat up the engine or side cover with a heat gun bearing will fall right out.
same when you put the bearing in will fall right in.no hammer at all.the seal when cool just push in and lightly tap
into place.I also use just a dab of loc tight on it too.never a leak or one pop out

A warm bearing ( 250F ) will slide on a properly machined shaft at room temperature.
Same rule for dropping a bearing in a housing.
( Use the EASA tables for calculating the machining tolerances, these numbers are the motor and gear box industry standard )

There are a variety of different ways to remove a seal, most involve prying or driving out from the other side.
You can tap them in with a hammer, or warm up the housing and press them in usually with a drill press on small jobs like this.

Never beat on the inner race to drive in a bearing ( into a housing or the reverse for a shaft ).
Just one hit can cause Brinnelling ( dents in the race inner or outer ) and the life of the bearing can be greatly reduced.

Thanks everyone. Just warmed up the block and the bearing fell right out. Will be doing the same to re-install.

just a thought because you can get just a bought any bearing you can think of size n shape... why not just use a bearing with a shield/dust cover? would it bot seal?
