Black heim joints in rival

I got a new rival and its got four races on it and the tie rod heim joints have gotten tight . they have plastic inserts in them . i sprayed with w_d 40 it must have swelled up that plastic. Has anyone had this happen.

The inserts are urethane and WD-40 will not make them swell

If you are wanting to actually lube them....use a spray lube....not WD40. With the plastic inserts, I would hesitate putting any lube on them. It will only attract dirt and possibly contaminate them.
