Mike, do use a lockwasher or anything to help keep the bolt from coming loose. My bolts came out and my chain guide went for a ride down the track Saturday.

I use blue Loctite and a wave washer to keep it from coming loose

we just bought a batch of bolts that had the blue thread goop already on them. COmbine that with a star washer and you should be good (until its time to take the clutch guard off )

Where did you buy them from?

I use a lock washer, and a small amount of anti-sieze on the threads.
I HATE Loctite where it is not needed.

Do not use locktite if you are using an allen head screw......your engine builder will hate you.

I had a guy that used locktite on the crankshaft. Not the clutch bolt but the crank itself. I had to use the acetylene torch to get the clutch off. He also used button head bolts to hold the chain guard on and use locktite on them also.
Destroyed the clutch and the chain guard getting them off.
The only place i use locktite in this area is a drop of blue on the bolt that holds the clutch on the crank.
