Yes, is there are set of stock rules?Don I think he is asking adopt the BSP crate class rules.
I fully understand the concept of sealed engines but there's something very unsettling about not being able to monitor conditions kinda like sending the kids off somewhere for an extended time without talking to them to see how they are doing.Valve cover and carb seal makes the engine unserviceable.
Did anyone have a rocker arm become loose ? You would be able to hear it if it was , could the racer take the engine with this condition to a class/track rep and have the engine replaced , as to keep on racing that day ? What if 10 engines had the same problem at the same time ? Getting those engines fixed would become an expense for someone , who bared that burden ? What about a spec oil ? Not trying to start anything , just curious .For what its worth i ran 23 races on a 212 sealed crate from them (have not had a chance to put on dyno since season is over to see fall off of the engine but dont feel there was much) and out of 27 motors sold none had a catastrophic failure. The sealed valve cover stops being able to get into the head to jimmy with it.
