Build new/Used Kart?

With winter fast approaching and a tight budget I have started to consider buying a frame and build it as I go. Is there any manual or literature that would help with this and if I bought a new chassis who would be good to look at for that?

trying to piece one together is going to cost you more.
with winter and the season coming to a close there will be chassis for sale at reasonable prices.
Brian Carlson is only 38 miles west of you on 70 he can fix you up.

I kind of figured that would be the case, at least start with a rolling solid chassis. I have seen a few around for $500-$800 range.
I will keep my eyes open.

Thanks for the referral, flattop!

I've got no used rollers in the shop right now, Phil, but keep us in mind -- stuff comes and goes pretty regularly.
I've got plenty of new and used engines, clutches, wheels & tires, parts, etc if you need.
