Take the front off, not the back. The bolts holding the activator plate to the drive hub should easily be broken free with a 5/32 t handle allen wrench. Worst case measure the spring height, then loosen the spring retainers so the levers move out of the way a bit to get a better fit on the bolt head. Trying to loosen or frequently undoing the 1/8 head bolts on the drive hub is a recipe for disaster.
