When adjusting spring height to change my rpm engagement would I set them all to the the same height or is there any tips or them all not being set the same height

Set them all the exact same height for most positive engagement. (assuming springs are all equal installed height pressures.)
Alternating spring heights create a more gradual engagement (and induce heat.)
