What is the best piston clearance using a .002 over poiston in a new block. ? Also which ring is the top ring, the silver or black one. Are the part numbers on the rings the top side? Thanks in advance.
 
Chromed ring is the top, and is directional (bevel up) when assembling. There should be a small circle on the topside of the 1st & 2nd ring. Circle up on both. Pretty sure that Burris has a website with better instructions than mine! Careful when putting the piston in, will you use a ring compressor, or your hands?
