No it would not.

Something to consider...if a track has a majority on Maxxis - that tells me that it would generally bite up enough for a Maxxis to be the preferred tire. Burris typically won't be competitive against a Maxxis on a track that bites up much.
Now, if the Maxxis guys are prepping their tires a ton to get them to work on a "Burris" type low bite track, then keep in mind that you will be running on all of their prep that is laid down. This most definitely will affect how your tires work. Just some things to consider.
