Can you double a .009 head gasket Clone unrestricted

Can you double a .009 head gasket Clone unrestricted. this is only for one race night until I get the correct one. I'm currently at .005 in the hole and have only .009 head gaskets. Thank You

I have done it after spraying both sides of each with copper coat without problems.

A super dumbed-down answer is that a metal gasket, yes...a fiber gasket, no. There's obviously more to it than that, but since I don't know of any fiber ones that thin you should be fine as long as they're torqued down correctly.

I stacked three 0.009” metal gaskets to form one 0.027” MLS gasket. I did not spray the gaskets with anything, I made sure that all the gaskets were the same, and would compress together properly, I also was careful to torque the head evenly. Worked out pretty well for me, seemed to hold power.

Same here. If your deck is level and your head is lever and you do one retorque after a heat cycle no need for any sealer

Because depending on the cam, head and rocker combination, the valves can end up deeper than .005 in the hole, so either start stacking gaskets, or relief cut the piston.
