Cart Bros - Axle question

so apparently I am never going to find the exact replacement for the axle in my sons Hot Bodies go kart, so if I get a slightly longer one, where do I find spacers to take up the space between the wheel and the cup that holds the bearings?

I cut mine out of pvc/grey electric tube . 1 1/4 "
Sprint karts use them .
Comet or cki should have what you need .
