Chain bouncing

My clutch is brand new, but the chain bounces on one or two of the teeth. Like they are bent or the clutch drum is bent. The drum looks like it is wobbling from side to side. Seems ok when engaged, but I haven't driven it yet. Any thoughts?

I meant the large sprocket, but I think your right. the bad spot/spots are just worse on the small 16 sprocket. I will try a new chain.

If you are running a Master-Link, check its orientation, you may have too have the plate and keeper on the opposite side of the sproket....jmo

You'll probably find that the problem stems from the ~AXLE end magnified by distance making the clutch drum wobble jmo-oc

I pulled the chain and it was fine on a screw driver, but as I ran it by hand (not attached to the axle sprocket) on the clutch it had the problem. Not at a specific spot on the clutch sprocket, but in the chain. I went through the chain by hand link by link and there were some tight spots. I ordered a new chain as I think that is the problem.

'That' will cause it! Good Luck

if the new chain does not help, loosen split rear sprocket then rotate wheels and gradually tighten rear sprocket, sometimes this works

Also i had a miss cut driver on a ward evolution clutch i got. The cuts were V shaped. This was on a new chain also...replaced the driver gear and no "jumping" or tight spots.
