Champ Kart headrest

Hi all, recently bought a champ kart and in the process of putting it all together and noticed from videos that a lot of racers are using a headrest. Are these recommended and who sells them? Local track doesnt have a rule requiring them, but it seems like a good idea.

Used to be a guy on this sight that built them (and happened to be local to me here in south central PA) that built a really nice one at a very reasonable price; the one he did for us was mighty fine. If he's still at it, he'll see this sooner or later.

I cant seem to find them from anywhere but JC. Does anywhere sell them?

T&M chassis in Connecticut makes a much simpler one that works great. You also may be interested in a simple helmet strap. Many adults use that instead, you won’t be able to look over your shoulder with the halo. It’s all preference
