Changing pads on MCP caliper

First time out with my champ kart this past weekend, and had very weak brakes all day. Tried bleeding them at the track and adjusting the pads, only to discover that one of the pads was chipped. Got a new set on the way, but am having a lot of difficulty in removing the old pads, is there a trick to get them out? I have turned the adjuster screws all the way in and tried prying, but not with too much force as I don't want to break anything in the caliper. Any help is appreciated!

Look inside your adjuster and see if there is a smaller allen 3/16 I think. Those are what need to be loosened and removed.

^^^this! The pad retainer screw is inside the adjuster. I can tell you this tho that chipped pad is not why you have weak brakes. Time to tear the caliper and master down and rebuild them.

Thanks for the help! I feel foolish for not noticing that screw. After doing some tearing apart, it seems the master cylinder is the problem. Got a rebuild kit on the way.
