Can run any spring and retainer. What are the spring and retainer rules?
That cam would be a problem.... not looking to turn the motor 8K.https://www.dynocams.com/item/308-cl/cl-mod/

Hello,
Local track is starting a cheater class so to speak.
Stock Clone any cam.
Any recommendations ?
If i was picking a cam for this class I would find one that can handle the least amount a spring pressure. A Dyno mod 2 would work well. The Dyno CS grind is pretty easy on the valve train and is the Dyno 220 grind and less likely to break rockers. Can run any spring and retainer.
Which of those two (Mod2 vs CS Grind) are easier on the valve train and how is the carb tuning effected? I’d assume you’d have to go up a couple sizes in main jet?If i was picking a cam for this class I would find one that can handle the least amount a spring pressure. A Dyno mod 2 would work well. I would also look at the CM grind if youre not looking to turn huge rpms. That cam would be a problem.... not looking to turn the motor 8K.
But thanks for the info... helps with direction.
