Honestly i think its supposed to be dry or light oil .

Thin film of grease (white lithium grease works well.) Lucas Red-n-Tacky works well too and has never-seize mixed in it which helps in cases of lengthy neglect of maintenance.
You can use any lubricant just to help keep from wearing and keep the bearings free when the chassis and axle flexes.

That makes sense. I got a can of white lithium with the kart I bought. That must be what they used. Thanks a lot fellow racers.
