Clone Gear torque range.

just a question to help me understand...or maybe confuse my self.
but if a 15-57 is a 3.8 ratio
why not run a 12-46 at a 3.83 ratio?
its close comparision, smaller gear, less rotation weight

Why not indeed ?
All you can do is try it .
As someone stated you can get a finer adjustment with the small gear sets .
Less weight to accelerate , also less weight to provide momentum .

This makes clutch work a lot faster and easier. Loosen 2 nuts, slide motor back and remove chain, loosen engine from chassis.

I meant putting the drive sprocket in the hub and getting the clip back on is a pita, the clip is always really tight on one side to get in the groove on the sprocket, but that is nice mount I never seen one like that.

I don't understand why mounts like that are not the "norm". I bought my kart with one and I can't imagine trying to change gears or chain tension without it.

My clone go to from now on is just start with a 4.0 doesn't matter combo but I try to star on driver I think I will use just to make easier if possible. Then I fine tune from there. Look at chart look at what 1 below and above 4.0 does on chart from 20 tooth to 11 tooth. Look at 4 decimal points not 3. Anyways that lol.
