Clone valve lash

Trying to build a clone engine and just got it back from the engine shop from having it honed out and a new piston put in it. I had the head worked with 10.8/18 springs with a 3 angle valve job. I installed a CL3 cam in it with a PVL flywheel. I can’t seem to get the valves adjusted right.

Its a tedious job . Snug the adjuster tight turn top and bottom together too fine tune . Just tightening the top nut changes it .
In addition do a search of lash , If the issue is which cycle or were on the lobe to adjust .

Warm the engine up to about 280 degrees, then set the lash at .001-.002 while hot.
