Creosote - Wood vs Coal

Has anyone tried using wood based creo in the place of coal based? I want to pick some up and experiment but thought I'd reach out first and see if anyone already tried and found it a waste of time.

Creo is a very touchy subject on a public forum because it is illegal to own or possess from what I'm told... many in here don't talk much about it...

you may get an expert that will chime in but its hard to say...

It's classed as a pesticide and licensed pesticide applicators (read: landscapers? farmers?) can still acquire it. But the real question is "why?" There are other products on the market that better accomplish what Creo does... I suppose for the truly motivated, go find some abandoned rail lines or telephone poles and start scraping...
