Dad looking to get 7yr old into kart racing.

Im looking at getting my son into kart racing. He would be in the Jr red plate class. Information on a good kart and engine to start with that is alittle budget friendly would be great. Thanks in advance.

As for engine you'll want to verify the track rules for that class there where your going to race.

Looks like clone , nka rules .
Phantom triton would be good and priced right .
Something ten years old or newer at minimum .
Nothing obscure , no support and hard to source parts .

If u can find a 2014-2015 PRC Triton Jr in the $1,000-$1,100 price range, it’s a great kart for a junior driver
